I created this site merely to record my thoughts about current American and world events and culture. Admittedly, I am taken aback by the stridency in modern discourse, and by the deterioration in traditional American civility by both private citizens and public figures entrusted with our future.

America's greatness comes from the humility and mutual respect of people for one another and from institutions that are designed to honor man. That is the America I would like to see again.

Perhaps it is wrong to extrapolate the current trajectory of American culture and too presumptive on my part to assume I can contribute to leaving a better world for my children. Silence is a less appealing option, however, hence this attempt which you are reading now.

A bit about me for the curious. I,

  • am from New York;
  • was educated at Cornell and Columbia Universities;
  • am a businessman and consultant;- am a national economic policy analyst for the Examiner and a contributor to Human Events;
  • have extensive international business experience and believe in the benefits of free trade;
  • also studied in France during my formative years: "Tout homme a deux pays, le sien et puis la France."

I follow traditional Conservative thought - Buckley, Chamberlain, Friedman, Hart, Hayek, Hazlitt, Kirk, Knight, Meyer, Novak, Oakshott, von Mises, et. al., and hope you see in my perspective a nuance from today's conventional thinking without a departure from base principles of the great thinkers who, with my family, are my teachers.

I welcome any thoughts or comments and hope you enjoy the site.
